Beaver Rose Competition

This is a District Competition where each Patrol Leader takes his Patrol on camp. A standing camp is set up and there are many activities to keep the Scouts interested such as STA's (Spare Time Activities), campfire skits, cooking, pioneering, etc.

The Troop has a proud history of winning this competition more times than any other Troop in the District. We have won it 19 times, 15 of these victories being since 1984.

In August, 2001 the competition was tied between Kingfisher Patrol (PL Stefano Rivera) and Penguin Patrol (PL Kenneth Crombie). There was no second place as a result of the first place tie. Seagull Patrol (PL Nicholas Abbott) came third.

In August 2006 the competition was won by Albatross Patrol (PL Andrew Klazinga).

This competition is an excellent training ground for the Area Gordon Shield competition.
